Holiday fun at the Hommelheide Estate in the 'green belt of Limburg'

Welcome to our holiday home

Landgoed Hommelheide - as the owners always call it - is located in the 'green waist of Limburg' in the municipality of Echt-Susteren. Upon arrival at the park, the driveway immediately gives a pleasant holiday feeling. Here you can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, embrace the peace and quiet and also have fun for children within reach.

Around the holiday park, the green nature area awaits, where you can cycle and walk wonderfully with plenty of opportunity for relaxation. On request, we have an extensive overview for our guests.

During the holiday periods, the animation team organises sports activities for children in the park, as well as creative shows and craft activities. The park has a natural and beach pool with sunbathing area, where you can swim from 1 May to 1 October. The recreational pond offers our guests peace, healthy excitement and fun while fishing from the fishing pier.

Since May 2021, my wife Petra and I are the proud owners of this holiday home on this park in Central Limburg. From our own experience, we find it a nice feeling when the home is provided with a personal touch. That is why we have chosen to offer our guests something extra during their stay. These are a number of additions that we experience as pleasant at home and sometimes also find important. For example, the home is suitable for a young family but certainly also for seniors. Our guests must be able to stay in a relaxed atmosphere in and around the home. For the safety of the little ones and the possible stay of a pet (dog), we have had a fence installed. A fee is charged for the stay of a pet and necessary cleaning costs.

With your family, partner or friends you can enjoy a lot of freedom and peace here. And this in the middle of the beautiful nature of Limburg. The park is located in the narrowest part centrally in the province and borders both Germany and Belgium. The park has an indoor swimming pool and wellness center, restaurant with lounge, terrace, snack bar and party room, beautiful recreational pond and various sports and games facilities.

The holiday home is detached and is located in the new part on the edge of the park - within walking distance of the park center - and is suitable for four people . The layout consists of: living room, kitchen, two bedrooms with two single beds each and a bathroom with shower and toilet. The living room is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is equipped with microwave oven, gas hob, dishwasher, refrigerator and all other necessary household appliances.

At the front of the house there is enough space to park the car and the garden with terrace is spacious. For storing bicycles there is a detached, lockable storage room within the plot available. The use of WIFI is free and we have added a number of extras in the house, in addition to the standard facilities. At the beginning of 2023, air conditioning will be installed in the holiday home and all windows and sliding doors will be fitted with mosquito nets.

» SUP - paddling quietly over the water on the board;
» Wellness Center with a sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, salt cave and a relaxation area;

» Self-service park shop for small groceries;
» Snack bar with ice cream parlor;
» Restaurant for culinary enjoyment and a cozy terrace with a view over the recreational lake;
» Laundry room with washing machine and dryer;
